Riac's fight for the Badge

Riac, having healed his Pokemon in the Pokemon Center, walked over to the Gym. He put his cloak hood up, trying not to surprise anyone with his ghostly appearance. Riac was obviously excited, seeing that this was his first Gym battle, but nobody could see his excitement since his face was hidden by his cloak hood.

The Gym is dark. You must navigate through the darkness to the Gym Leader using only your Pokémon to find the way.

(Hint: The color WHITE appears on the sides)

Riac was used to the dark, but not THIS kind of dark. It was like cavern darkness, the darkest dark ever. He sent out Inferno. "Hey Inferno, can you make a little light?"

A small flicker lit the darkness, but it was not enough. A voice rang out. "You must combine the power of all your Pokémon to make it the entire way."

"Hmm..." Riac sent out his other 4 Pokemon. "Now, all of you try to combine your powers and make a light strong enough for me to see where I'm going in this place."

The nodded, willing to do it, but they didn't know exactly what they could do.

"Okay...Neutra, use Thunder Wave, Snowbug use Ice Breath, Spallara use Psywave. Inferno and Kat, try to channel your inner energy to help out as well. Try to create an energy orb in the air that'll make a bright light."

Even though they didn't understand why, they did it anyway. A small, pale yellow orb appeared between all of them, giving slightly more light. "You are close," said the voice from the darkness.

"Guys, try to put as much power as you can into the orb! I know you can do it." Riac sounded confident that his Pokemon could illuminate the whole room. He knew giving support would help too.

As more power was pushed into the orb, the orb grew bigger, changing colors every so often, until it lit up almost the whole room. "Hmmm, still not enough power. Maybe you're not ready yet," the voice said/

Riac, even though under pressure from the voice, still believed in his Pokemon. "You can do it!"

As they put more power into it, the light stopped its color changing, and looked like it was dimming. "Mwuhahahaha," laughter came from the darkness.

Riac, still not able to see who's making the voice, cast a glare over to its direction, his white eyes piercing through the dark a little bit. "I believe in my pokemon, I support them...only to have you laugh at me!" The voice seemed to have gotten Riac angry...sorta like this kind of situation has happened before.

"Do you? Do you REALLY believe in them? If you did, don't you think you'd be able to know where I was?" the voice asked, the white eyes moving around the room.

(ahem,I'm modding your thread, what should you do?)

"I believe in them with my heart and my soul, and I won't let anyone belittle me and my Pokemon!" Riac's pure white eyes darted around the room, looking for the source of the voice.

"You still don't know?" the voice asked, it's WHITE eyes moving around. "Think, think of the darkness within."

Riac's eyes lose their intensity as he seemed to calm down, thinking about what the Gym Leader said. "Hm..."

The white eyes in the darkness begin to slow their movement. "Are you..." the voice came, but didn't finish.

Riac kept thinking about what the voice said, but couldn't pinpoint what he meant. "Hmm..."

"Is 'hmm' all you're gonna say?" came another voice, from the opposite side of the room. The voice seeme like it came from what looked like blue eyes.

Riac was a little surprised, since he thought there was only one person in the room. He turns in the direction of the second voice. "I'm thinking, okay? I'm not good with these kinds of riddles..."

"Blablabla, excuses, excuses, excuses. So many trainers do that. We usually have to give them the answer, for them to even come CLOSE to figuring out. That's how sad most trainers are," the second voice sighed. "HEY, this one's mine!" the first voiced retorted. "Blablabla, once again," the second voice said, sounding like it was annoyed by the first voice.

Riac facepalmed, since he knew that the two voices would start bickering some time.

"Bicker, bicker, talk, talk, talk, argue, argue argue. That's all we do, scaring off trainers. Do you ever shut up? You evil soul," the second voice commented to the first one. "SHOOSH, you might give the answer away," the first voice hissed.
