The Next Phase

After arriving in Husavik, Esp decided to look around for some pokemon, along with training. He hoped to find another trainer that might battle him after he trained his pokemon up some on wild ones.

You are staring in awe at your first city, when suddenly, something rushes by you in a flash! Would you like to chase it or look for something else?

Esp sees something run by him. He decides to chase it.

When the Pokémon finally gets tired, you see what it is. It's... a... HAMSTAR!

Esp sees it, and thinks it's so kyoot. (OOC: :3) He looks at his PokeDex to see what it is, as Lefla gets ready to fight. The PokeDex says...

Hamstar
Lv. 6
Ability: Pickup
Moves: Scratch, Bite, Quick Attack

"Hamstar, the Hamster Pokémon. Hamstar is only found in one city in all of Auditore! Hamstar can evolve into various forms using various items!"

"OH FFF," Esp said, realizing he was one level under the Hamstar. "Lefla, use growl first, then defend yourself!" Esp told his pokemon. Lefla did a Growl at the Hamstar.

The growl made the Hamstar shiver, and then Lefla rolled into a ball and protected itself, but suddenly, Lefla started to roll forward and it smacked into the Hamstar!

Congratulations! Your Lefla learned Rollout!

"Whoa, nice Lefla," Esp said. 'Don't know how a baby Swan learns a rock move, but okay' he thought to himself. "Keep using Rollout, but don't KO it!"

(Baby Swans learn rock moves in my world D:< Well, the moves each Pokémon learns aren't the same for everyone, but since you told it to defend itself it ended up rolling out at the pokemon by accident)

Lefla listened, but only because it couldn't figure out how to escape from the ball shape it was in. It knocked Hamstar into a wall, but the Hamstar bit into Lefla, who let out a loud tweet and fell out of it's rolled up shape. It backed away from the Hamstar, and stood next to you awaiting your next command.

"Use Tackle, Lefla," Esp commanded, hoping to catch this cute thing.

Lefla rushed forward and smacked the Hamstar into a wall. Hamstar barely stood up, sweat running down it's face. It seemed tired and beat up.

Esp pulled out a Poke Ball. "Come on, catch it," he said, throwing the orb.

Roll... roll... roll... click!

Esp takes his new team member to the pokemon center to let it get healed, along with Lefla. Once he lets it out of its ball, he tells it its name, Hammy. "Well Hammy, let's see if they have a evolution stone mart around here. I know you'd like to be more powerful, huh?" After saying that, Esp thinks he heres a cracking noise, but thinks it was just someone stepping on a twig nearby. He continues to walk to the Poke Mart.

Suddenly, an item in your bag begins to shake furiously! Your bag starts to glow a vibrant pink color!

After leaving the shop, deciding against evolving Hamstar so early, Esp feels the vibrations, and sees the glow from his pack. "Is it the egg?!" Esp asked, surprised. He took the egg out, and sure enough, the Egg began to crack down the sides, and the top chipped off.

You lift the lid off the incubator and suddenly, the egg glows and bright pink, you are blinded momentarily, and then, in place of the egg is a baby Pokémon.


Mantily

Moves: Fury Cutter, String Shot

"Oh wow," Esp said, seeing the baby pokemon. "You'll be a big help at the next gym, and I remember my father having you as an adult Mantich. Those were fun days," his mind began to wander. "OH, your name. I almost forgot!" he remembered that Mantily needed a name. "How about Orchid?" The baby Mantily seemed happy about her new name. "I knew you'd like it!"

With his new buddy walking next to him, Esp decided it was time to train. He started to look around...

To Esp's luck, a wild male Luvbeet appeared! A rare encounter in Husavik City!

Esp had to have a short, mental debate. Should he take it out for experience? Or should he catch it. He knew that it evolved into an electric and bug type, but he has a bug type. He decided to get the experience. "Go Lefla! Use your new move, Rollout!"

It was incredibly effective, smacking down the Luvbeet, who managed to stagger up and use a tackle on Lefla, but was too weak to do much damage. The Luvbeet staggered. If you wanted to catch it, now was the time.

"Lefla, finish it off," Esp said. He didn't need any more catches for now...

Lefla tackled it down, defeating the bug.

Lefla grew to Lv. 6!
Lefla grew to Lv. 7!

Lefla learned Leech Seed!

"Great! Now, lets level up Hammy some," Esp said, recalling Lefla and sending out Hammy. "We'll walk together until we find something for you to battle."
