A New Adventure Begins

Marina woke up, and looked at the calender. She then realized it was the day she'd go get her first Pokemon, and to her, it could be the start of her first adventure across Auditoré. Marina then quickly got dressed, and packed her backpack with necessary items she could use in the future. She then headed off to the professor's lab, unaware that her adventure was only beginning.

"Hello young lady!" The professor said, opening the door. "If you don't mind, I have to go home soon, so please come in quickly. Pick your starter from the three. There are images by each ball showing which Pokémon is inside."

Marina walked towards the three pokeballs, and observed the pictures next to them. After looking at them for a bit, she had made up her mind, and wanted to choose the water starter.

"The water starter looks pretty interesting," Marina said, hoping that the professor would hear her.

"Okay great, let me go get your supplies." Adams said, handing over the Pegipegi's ball. He walked into his office, pulled out a bag of supplies and then went into the egg vault.

((Well, out of the ones that are actually in the games, I'm going to go with Charmander.))

"I've finally got my first Pokemon," Marina thought as she observed her recently-gotten PegiPegi's pokeball, "And I'm pretty excited about it."

The professor returned, handed her her bag and then revealed he was holding an incubator. A hot orange egg was inside. "Take good care of that egg! Here's your boat ticket. Make sure that you get to the ship in time!"

"Why thank you," Marina said as she gently held on to the incubator and the boat ticket, "I'll try to get onto the ship on time too."

Shortly after that, Marina left the laboratory, and headed for the boat that she had the ticket for.

You made it to the ship and handed your ticket to the man standing at the bridge. "Here, hand me your ticket." You passed over your ticket and then he ushered you onto the boat, but he gave you a curious look as you walked onto the ship.

Marina walked onto the ship, and took a look at her surroundings. She was rather amused, but she reminded herself that she had to be careful, since she was holding a Pokemon egg that was inside an incubator.

The ship lurched forward, and the incubator flew from your hands, only to be caught by a handsome young man about your age. "I believe this yours" he handed the incubator back to Marina.

"Wh-Wh-Why thank you," Marina stuttered while blushing a bit, as she got her incubator back. She was kind of thankful that the guy saved the incubator which was holding the mysterious egg that Professor Adams had given her earlier.

"It's quite alright. My name is Draco. I'm sure I'll be seeing you later, some day." the young man said, and suddenly, a pink seahorse-like creature stuck it's head out of the water. He jumped onto it, and the Pokémon swam away. "All passengers, please stay below decks, the weather is getting strange." the captain's voice came over the intercom and dark clouds began to form in the sky.

Marina began to notice the dark clouds over head, and she quickly headed for the lower decks like everyone else was. After all, the last thing Marina wanted at the time was for her, and the mystery egg to get caught in a storm, or have something else just as bad happen to them.

You made your way to your cabin and found a small corner of the room decorated like an egg nursery. It was enclosed in glass, and there was an egg holder. "Hatches eggs in minutes!" it said on the door.

"This seems interesting," Marina thought as she looked at the egg-holder with curiosity. However, she wasn't sure if it was a false advertising claim, or something similar to that.

The nursery looked pretty authentic, since a bunch of eggs that were already being taken care of could be seen through the window...but it still was a little suspicious.

Marina then suddenly decided against it a bit, since she could wait for it to hatch. After all, she didn't mind having to wait quite a while longer for the egg to hatch.

The boom of thunder was heard from the deck, as a small mob of passengers rushed downstairs to their rooms, nearly trampling Marina.

"That was close," Marina told herself as she had nearly avoid being trampled over, since she had quickly gotten out of their way. However, she had heard the thunder, and Marina was becoming scared.

The captain's voice was heard over the intercom. "All passengers, we are experiencing thunderstorm conditions, and the arrival at Husavik City will be delayed. We advise that passengers get to their rooms to be safe from the storm."

Marina quickly headed for her own room, as she carefully held onto her incubator. She knew that it wouldn't be the smartest move to get caught in a thunderstorm.

The captain came on the intercom once again, "We will be arriving at Husavik ten minutes late. The docks will be mostly closed, but you should be able to get into the small hotel on the beach." The captain turned off the intercom. The boat had a small shake, nothing big...

After hearing the announcement, Marina sighed in relief. She was kind of thankful that she would be getting to Husavik City, even though she'd be ten minutes later than the ship was supposed too.

You then here squeaking from a nearby room. It doesn't stop, and it sounds scared.

"What was that," Marina thought. She then carefully walked over to the nearby room, and attempted to open the door.
