The Next Phase

Esp walked out of the Dojo into the sunshine. The mood in the city was eerie. 'Did I miss something?' Esp thought.

Basically the whole town was empty, except for the occasional Darkitti running down the alleyways. A person, hiding in a building, whispered at ESP. "You should leave now, before they find you! They've been stealing Pokemon and taking over the whole town!"

(Also, we need to think of a permanent name for the villan team.)

(I like Team Gamma. It sounds proto-typeish~)

"What?" Esp asked, turning to see no one there. Esp wandered around. He wondered what had happened. That's when he heard something...

(Team Gamma's cool.)

A noise comes from the docks, as what seems like a battleship stops there. It isn't the ferry that took people over to the city; this ship seemed more sinister. The person immediately ducked back into the building. "They're here! Hide!"

"Hide? What are you talking about?" Esp asked, losing the person again. What is wrong with that person? Esp thought. He returned Orchid to her ball, nervous of the city.

First to step out of the ship is a very pale person. He seems to be a teenager, which is surprising since he's the leader of anyone who's on the ship. He has long, spiky white hair and almost pure white eyes. He wears a black vest with jeans, and he has a sorta ghostly appearance. He looks around for any Trainers who would try and oppose him. Seeing none, he gives a "Hmph!" and walks into the city, followed by men who seem like villans as well.

Who are they? Esp asked himself. He decided to go and see if the teenager would talk to him, due them being the same age as each other, roughly...

The teen pulls out a Pokeball, making some of the people in the buildings cower in fear a little bit. Then he spots ESP. "Hmm? Are you a Trainer?" The men flank the teen, Pokeballs in hand. "Stand down, you all. I've got this one covered." The men pocket their Pokeballs, backing off a little bit. The teen then turns back to ESP again. "So! Are you a Trainer or not?"

"Of course I am!" Esp growled back, sending out Orchid again. "Why, did you want a battle?"

"Such a ferocious voice...! I like it." The teen flashes a fanged grin. "I might want a battle...Might not...Maybe you're not worth it."

"Or you're just a coward," Esp said. "Maybe YOU'RE not worth it.

The teen quickly pulls out a Pokeball. "Well. If it's a battle you want, kid...Then it's a battle you get! Geniaot, front center!" He sent out a powerful Geniaot level 13.

"So, a flying type. Not like those aren't common in these parts," Esp sighed. "Orchid, the usual with flying types." Esp knew that Orchid knew what he meant. String Shot, then attack, usually indirectly, like a Confusion. Orchid decided to start with Confusion, String Shot it, then slam it around.

The Geniaot was tricker and stronger than ESP thought. It quickly licked up the string, pulling Orchid along with it. Geniaot then gave Orchid a sharp headbutt which sent Orchid sprawling. The teen grinned. "Feheheheh, good, Geniaot! You know what to do."

"She's not that strong...yet!" Esp yelled. "Orchid, return! Let's get this party started!" Esp said, sending out Hammy. "Ready? Use your moves wisely, bud." Esp knew that his pokemon were smart and cunning. They knew the right moves to use, which helped make the attacks less predictable. Hammy went for what looked like a Tackle...

The Geniaot laughed and went to try to use Wrap on Hammy.

"NOW," Esp yelled to Hammy. Hammy opened its mouth, and bit down on the tongue that was encircling it.

The Geniaot howled in pain, Hammy gathering enough strength to bring Geniaot to the ground. Hammy then let go of the Geniaot, who was KO'd.

Hammy grew to level 13!
Orchid grew to level 10!

The teen actually seemed to grin more, returning Geniaot. "I got two pokemon left...Don't think I've given up yet." He sends out a Pharhost level 13.

"Pffft. That all you got?" Esp asked, raising an eyebrow. Hammy was already on the offensive.

The Pharhost, also knowing what to do, used Wrap on Hammy swiftly to hold it in place as it charged a Dark Pulse. Pharhost seemed to be more powerful than Geniaot, and since Pharhost used mummy wrap for Wrap instead of a body part, Pharhost had a small advantage.

"Super Fang through that!" Esp started to pull out Firmoth's poke ball. Maybe a Flame Wheel would burn the linen wrap off the pokemon. He dropped the poke ball, making it open. Firmoth was ready to go.

Pharhost kept its hold on Hammy, abandoning the Dark Pulse idea and throwing Hammy at Firmoth instead.

Firmoth fluttered out of the way, covering its body in flames. Esp recalled Hammy before it landed. "Now, use Flame Wheel!"

Firmoth swiftly used Flame Wheel, charging at Pharhost. The Pharhost held out its hands, trying to block it. It was an epic sight, Pharhost holding off that Flame Wheel, but eventually Pharhost's mummy wrap started to burn up. A huge explosion takes place. When the smoke clears, Pharhost is there, but KO'd.

Firmoth grew to level 11!


The teen started to frown as he returned Pharhost. "Down to my last pokemon, am I...?" He sent out his last pokemon, a Spectara level 14.

"Flame Wheel again," Esp said. Firmoth, now completely hidden in the flames began circling the Spectara. It vanished into the flame ring. Not even Esp could see it.
